Member Fees 2008/2009

This year, RUSC members pay an annual membership fee of £50.00, though this is reduced to £40.00 if paid during Freshers’ Week. For this, you get:

• A FREE t-shirt
• Membership and use of facilities at Burghfield Sailing Club
• Use of Club wetsuits / buoyancy aids (if required)
• Storage of boats at Burghfield Sailing Club
• Maintenance of current RUSC boats and equipment
• Purchase of new boats and equipment
• Entry fees & transport to team racing events
• Socials
• Membership to one of the best clubs at Reading Uni

We ask a contribution of £1.00 per person each session for your driver, to cover the cost of petrol.

Becoming A Member

The only pre-requisite is that you have Sports Federation Insurance which covers you, should you have an accident. This is purchased through the Reading University Students Union (RUSU), either at Freshers Fayre or in the HUB (during the rest of the year). Unfortunately, without Sports Federation insurance we cannot allow you to sail.

Sponsorship

The club is always on the look out for sponsors. If you feel you would like to contribute to one of the most vibrant clubs at Reading Uni, please get in contact with us at treasurer@rusc.org.uk. We are continually looking for a sponsor for our team racing event which attracts students from all over the UK.
