Wet Dream

Preparations are well underway:

"On the last weekend of February (22nd-24th) Reading University Sailing Club will be hosting its annual team racing event, the Wet Dream.
During this time teams from around the country will descend upon us for a weekend of sailing, and, of course, socialising.

Burghfield Sailing Club, where we sail each week, generously allows us the use of their facilities over the course of the two days' racing. Burghfield is located near Theale (just outside of Reading) and is one of the largest inland sailing clubs in the country, making it ideal for an event of this magnitude.

Last year's event was a huge success, and seems to have impacted upon its popularity this year. Interest has been very high; in fact we are currently expecting 18 teams from around the UK, including an entry from as far a field as Ireland!

Of course, such an action-packed event needs a good deal of organisation, from deciding on the order of the races to planning the socials, and the preparations are well under way. If last year is anything to go by, though, the hard work will surely pay off, and we are looking forward to welcoming our guests to what promises to be a very exciting weekend." CAA
